Question 1: Can I submit a proposal to Speak?

Question 3: What Airport should I fly into?

Cairns International Airport, Queensland, Australia. Airport code is: CNS

Question 4: I’d like to book my travel – when should I arrive?

Registration opens at 7am on Friday 13th March and the first sessions starts at 8am, so plan to be at the Cairns Convention Centre early, ready to start! Arriving early (or staying later) allows you to enjoy the great Australian culture and take some tours, or simply enjoy strolling the waterfront in Cairns.  Our program ends Monday evening March 16th following our Gala Awards Evening.

Dress code: Formal or Cultural Formal attire.

We invite you to dress in evening/formal wear and warmly encourage attendees to wear traditional or culturally significant formal attire from their home country. Let’s celebrate our international community with elegance and pride.

Question 8: I am going to be the National President of my Association in 2026, can I get a registration discount?

Once your 2026 National President has been established, we are pleased to offer a significant discount. Please contact us directly on [email protected] for your discount code. Please note, while this is a significant discount it will be non-refundable.

Question 9: How can I book my hotel room and what is the special GSS 2026 group rate?

Check out the hotels on the Venue & Accommodation page. Hotel registrations are now open and available for you to book directly with your preferred hotel.

Question 10: What meals are included in my GSS 2026 registration?

Your registration fee includes morning and afternoon tea breaks, plus lunch all through Friday, Saturday, Sunday and up to lunch on Monday.  Your registration fee also includes your meal and drinks at the Friday evening welcome function and the Gala Awards Dinner.

Question 11: Is there a spouse/partner meal plan available?

Yes!  A meal package including three lunches and breaks, opening night Reception and Gala Award dinner is available for $397 USD ($600 AUD). Gala dinner only is $120 USD ($175 AUD). Here is a link to register your partner: https://gss2026.com/gss2026-partner-reg

Question 12: How can I volunteer at the GSS 2026?

We are looking for volunteers to act as room monitors, session hosts, people movers, and more.  To submit your interest to join as a volunteer please fill out this form.

Question 13: How can I get new speaking content for my speaking business?

The GSS 2026 team are securing an official videographer and photographer for the Summit. They will be offering you a range of packages to help bring your speech / presentation to life or to simply update your headshots.

Question 14: Is there transportation available from the Airport to my hotel?

Transportation options are plenty, you are no more than a 10-minute drive from the airport to the centre of Cairns CBD. Transport options include traditional taxis e.g. 13cabs, to popular ride-share apps, such as UBER. Your hotel may also provide a car service (for a fee) be sure to ask when you make your reservation.

Question 15: What is the Summit Dress Code?

You should wear what you're most comfortable in!  Remember that while temperatures outside might be warm: the average Cairns temperature in March is 30 degrees C (high) to 23 degrees C (low) / 86 F (high) to 73 F (low) and can experience periodic rain showers. You are visiting tropical far north Queensland. In the meeting rooms, air conditioning will ensure a cooler experience, so please consider bringing a sweater or light jacket.

On Saturday March 14, it will be International Speakers Celebration Day. We are encouraging all delegates to wear clothing which indicates the country in which you reside. It could be formal dress, a sports jersey or a nod toward your culture, let's have some fun with this!

At the Gala Awards Dinner on Monday evening we are encouraging delegates to dress in black tie evening/formal wear and warmly encourage attendees to wear traditional or culturally significant formal attire from their home country. Let’s celebrate our international community with elegance and pride.

Question 18: Are the speakers paid?

No! All our Summit speakers have paid their way to attend this amazing educational event and have graciously volunteered their time to share their expertise with you. Many speakers, as you will appreciate, do not normally speak to speakers - i.e. not their target market - so preparing and presenting at this Summit is really going above and beyond. We are truly grateful.
